Hi guys! As we showed you around Prenzlauer Berg this week already, let me give you some tips on what to do around the area in the weekend. But first of all, I want to introduce you to a special café that I really love - ABC, or “Allan’s Breakfast Club”:
Friday, 14.12. Expat meet up @ La Cave
As I know how it feels to arrive in a new city with no real network or family, and many of my friends and clients come from abroad like myself a few years ago, I want to recommend an event for anyone new in town from abroad: Come and meet other fellow expats at La Cave in a friendly atmosphere to relax after a hard day of work. The friendly and welcoming bar La Cave will serve delicious wines and snacks to share.
Saturday, 15.12. Marathon @ Volkspark Prenzlauer Berg
Yeah, that’s right! I’m recommending you to run a marathon! My muscles are sore from the first few days of my 60-day challenge that I started this week, for which I train everyday except for Sunday, but you’re probably gonna see me by the sideline, so come get your Jonathan-Vandamme-High-5 ;)
Saturday, 15.12. “RBG” movie night @ Kino in der Kulturbrauerei
So, if you’re not that much into spontaneous marathons, how about catching a movie at the Kulturbrauerei? “RBG” is an intimate portrait of US Supreme Court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, also known as “Notorious RBG.” The filmmakers explore how her early legal battles changed the world for women. An icon of the feminist movement, and an icon of justice.

Sunday, 16.12. Christmas Market @ Kulturbrauerei
Before you think I forgot, let me give you a Christmastime tip as well! One of my very favourite Christmas markets in town is the Lucia Christmas Market in the Kulturbrauerei. The brick buildings of the former brewery give it a unique rustic - almost rural - feel. It really makes you forget that you’re in the middle of Prenzlauer Berg.
